• The basket pulls completely out and the tray insert comes out as well. When the basket is pulled out partially or fully, the unit pauses. The basket and insert can be washed in the dishwasher upper rack.

• The only thing that is in slide out is a tray (which is easy to clean) on the bottom. The slide out is the basket and is not a typical fryer basket like you would find in a normal fryer (with holes/grate).
