• Yes, works fine without exhaust. I had on countertop and dining table. Never had an issue. I had 3 going at once.

• I've not tried that particular menu, but the hamburger and poultry i've cooked has not generated any smoke.

• the bella pro series catches all the grease and juices into a tray filled with water. Therefore eliminating smoke to form from the drippings. Your still going to get some smoke. But not from the dripping. Thats what it means.
