Each storage cabinet opening (Left & Right) has the following dimensions:

Height: 15.5"
Depth: 17.5"
Width: 20" (However, the cabinet door blocks 2" of this, making the opening for component installation/removal 18")
* There are 2 included shelves that are each 0.75" in thickness

The center channel compartment has the following dimensions:

Height: 6.75"
Depth: 19.25"
Width: 49.5"
* There is a center divider set back 8" from the face of the opening

Yes. We were able to put all of our 1970's audio equipment in this cabinet

Yes you can. However, there is MAYBE an inch of space between the top of the shelf and the top of the receiver so overheating is a possibility. I haven't had an issue yet but if I leave my receiver on for a few hrs it does get a bit warm in there. The inside is different. I have a ps4 inside and while there is A LOT of room, it actually gets hotter in there. This is understandable though as that is more of a closed area.....even with the cord management in the back.
