It sounds like the battery tag might be in a separate, difficult-to-reach compartment next to the main battery compartment. Sometimes, these tags are designed to be pulled out from a small opening. Try looking closely for a thin slit or opening near the battery compartment. You might need to use a pair of tweezers or a small, thin tool (like a toothpick or a straightened paperclip) to gently try and grip the edge of the tag and pull it out through this opening. Be careful not to force anything that feels stuck. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Battery compartment is very tight fit. Has a pull tag to aid in removal, but I wrap cellophane tape around each cell forming a pull tag for each one. Or at least the first cell since they are stacked.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think I know what you are talking about, it isn't a tag that's supposed to be taken out. I think it's meant to be, you place the batteries on top of it, and then it allows you to pull out the batteries since they have a small slot.
