Will this work with a mid 2010 MacBook pro? null

Yup. I use it on my 2012, so as long as you have a mini Display port on the 2010 it would be fine. Works great with my drawing tablet and to use my big computer monitor screen with my Mac without completely losing access to my Windows stuff on the other monitors.

This adapter works with most computers that have a Mini DisplayPort.
