• For me the wet cleaner cleaned the vcr heads better then the dry one. Tapes played better no tracking issues any more or tape sticking to the heads

• The wet head cleaner always clean better than a dry one sometime the dry one do not work

• Mostly preference, it’s like dusting a coffee table with a wet or dry towel. The wet is a equivalent of Isopropyl alcohol for cleaning.
