“Does this cover major repairs on major appliances for 2 years? For example, if the computer module on a kitchenaid true convection wall oven microwave combo went bad, would this "total protection" protect me from any associated costs for this?”

Read the fine print. there is a fee associated with every claim so it it’s not cost free. Also if replacement parts or recondition parts are not available they’ll give you some prorate amount for new unit.
