Hi, This does not mean that your Best Buy Totaltech Yearly Subscription and AppleCare+ will not apply to an unlocked iPhone. As long as you purchase your unlocked iPhone from a reputable retailer, such as Apple, Amazon, or directly from your carrier, your Best Buy Totaltech Yearly Subscription and AppleCare+ will still apply. You just need to buy the device while you have an active membership and register it with BB. I hope this info helps!
