I've only used it on mosquito bites, and it's pretty effective at removing the need to itch. So, does it directly reduce swelling and redness? Probably not. However, it does severely reduce the need to itch, which should indirectly reduce redness and swelling.

The healer heats up to treat the bite or sting. The sooner you use it on the bite, it seems to not spread or get bigger with time. Also don’t itch before using it. The healer heats up a small spot so put it directly on the bite “hump” if there it one. If you make the area red and can not find the tiny bite spot it, the healer seems to be less affective. Full treatment setting works the best as long as you can handle the heat. It never burns the skin but really sensitive skin areas might make it hard for some to handle the treatment heat.

This works best if it is used as soon as a bite is received. I have found it to be very effective. It will keep a bite from advancing to the redness and swelling if used early enough. Carry it with you, it is very compact and light.
