There isn't a physical lock included, but the IoT device in the Bird will lock the wheels whenever you lock it in the app, meaning that no one can ride it or move it except for you, the owner. This is similar to how shared Birds work when they're not in a ride on the street - they're locked and will alarm when moved and only someone who is authorized to ride can unlock it and ride. If you do want to buy a physical bike lock, that's also an option and can be locked through the back wheel if needed.

I has built-in GPS tracking using the Bird application and anti-theft protection alarms that are quite annoying; enough so to make you want to throw it outside your vehicle. And its 38 lbs to carry so if the thief is an average American on foot, they won't get far without resting quite a bit.
