It takes quite a while. Until all the lights light up on it. I can’t say how long it will charge. You just have to buy one and find out for yourself. And no batteries included.

I’m sure it can last longer but the convenience of the shark allows me not to have to spend a huge amount of time cleaning because it’s so quick and easy to use daily and isn’t bulky. Must I add that I’m also cleaning a car seat in each of the cars. So crumbs are a huge deal in my household . I wanted to add that I have stitching as well and this device is super convenient for the little stitching that I have on my seats
