• It is not intended to be used as a vacuum only. While it does work as a vacuum while cleaning your carpet, it can get clogged with pet hair etc. and require cleaning out during use.

• No it's not. The brush heads rotate as a traditional vacuum cleaner would, but per the user manual, you should vacuum first, then use the shampooer.

• This model is a carpet shampooer, where it sprays water/shampoo onto the carpet, then vacuum’s it back up into a separate reservoir. It also has a furniture attachment with hose that also sprays water/shampoo for any spot cleaning needed. It is very easy to clean and empty after use, just the best carpet cleaner we have ever had replacing our other Bissell that lasted us 19 years.
