• It is not a steamer. The cleaning solution is water heater hot but not steaming. The carpet is damp after vacuuming with the machine.

• It is not a steamer but it is an excellent carpet cleaner. It does keep the water warm. It does not leave the carpet wet. It pulls the water out of the carpet. Depending on the setting you use and the type of carpet, it leaves the carpet dry, slightly damp, or very damp.
