This answer is incorrect there is a 3-5 second delay between the trigger and recording. I can walk past my cameras and it won’t trigger or record until I have past it’s field of view
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Blink Cameras turn on instantly (within a fraction of a second) to record a video clip when motion is first detected. The camera will continue to capture 5-60 second video clips as long as motion is being detected. There is a delay between consecutive clips (as the camera turns off and back on) which can be set by you in the Blink App to anywhere between 10 to 60 seconds depending on your preference.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, and It depends on the placement of the camera, sensitivity setting, AND whether you have toggled early notification (app says this delays recording a few seconds). We'd rather have the recording THEN the notification. There is also a setting to increase/decrease recording cycle time (0-10 sec). The camera should be placed so the object crosses the path of view to some degree and not directly to or from it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My experience has been that it’s typically at least two seconds, or maybe not in time to catch the activity. I have tried editing per camera setting and it seems to be much better when you increase the motion sensitivity to the max. However; doing so used more battery And you will get more recorded clips. I have footage of shade/sun s changes on the ground, lone fireflies at night, and bushes moving in the breeze. What is very important to be mindful of is that the Minimum break between recording the next video is ten seconds, which is a Long Time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. From experience those cameras do not start recording instantly. Also each camera seems to act differently with more or less time to start recording. The noted delay is between 2 seconds to 20 seconds in the case of one outdoor camera. Don't know the reason. So you could walk in front of the camera for a good 10 seconds and it will not record you. You will see an empty clip. Btw this is about the initial recording and not about the retrigger time for a subsequent recording which is a whole different subject
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As soon as it’s senses motion. It will keep recording clips till there’s no more motion
