“for inside a carport do I need an indoor or out door camera ? The one I have does not connect all the time”

• For the interior of a garage, I think it could be either of the 2 options, if it is an indoor camera, as long as it is protected from water is enough. On occasion, with Blink cameras, I also struggle to connect. It seems to me that sometimes it can be poor WiFi range.
