Hello AMD and thank you for your question! As long as the tree can withstand the weight and screws from the device, I do not see an issue with mounting it there. Additionally, as long as you can connect the device to a consistent 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network via the Sync Module, it can be placed wherever you need. Hope this helps! Have a great day!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm not sure that the screws would hold, I mounted one using vinyl coated stainless steel cable wire around the trunk that has held up well. As long as you have a good Wi--Fi signal upstairs you should be able to operate the camera.

Your Wi-Fi would work fine with this camera, I never have connection issues. The picture is great for the price, and it will take a video clip of the motion detection if activated.
