Yes they say you can do that however, I am not tech savvy enough to know if you can immediately see clips Unfortunately, I will need subscription because the account is being shared to keep an eye on elderly parent

No, the Blink Sync Module Core does not accept a memory card; only the Sync Module 2 and the newer Sync Module XR support local storage, with the Sync Module 2 using a USB drive and the Sync Module XR using a microSD card. You can purchase either separately, and set these cameras up to them for local storage. The Sync Module Core relies entirely on cloud storage for video storage and does not offer a local storage option or clip backup. I hope that helps, have a great day!
