Hello! Yes, the Blink Outdoor 4 Battery-Powered 1080p Security Camera with Floodlight can work with WiFi ONLY, and you don't need Alexa or any other products to use it. The camera operates independently using just your home's 2.4GHz WiFi network (with a minimum upload speed of 2 Mbps), and all control and monitoring is done through the free Blink Home Monitor app on your smartphone. The camera comes with a 30-day free trial of the Blink Plus Subscription Plan at no cost, which includes cloud storage for video recordings and enhanced features like Person Detection. After the 30-day trial ends, you can choose whether to continue with a paid subscription or not. Without a subscription after the trial, you'll still have access to live view, motion detection alerts, two-way audio, and the floodlight functionality—however, you won't have cloud storage for recorded clips. If you want to store recordings without a subscription after the trial, you would need to purchase a Blink Sync Module separately (Sync Module 2 uses USB storage, or Sync Module XR uses microSD card storage). While the camera does integrate with Alexa for convenient voice control, this is completely optional and not required for any core functionality. The bottom line is that you only need WiFi and the free Blink app to get started, and everything else—including Alexa integration and subscriptions after the trial—is optional based on your preferences. Thanks and have a great day!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Blink system is able to integrate with Alexa Smart Home, but that is not a required connection. It is only if the user wishes to pair the two. To purchase a subscription plan you would either need to go to Blink.com or Amazon.com and purchase a plan.
