• They are supposed to last a couple of years. ANY pair of Lithium AAA batteries can be used.

• its just a simple AA in case power goes out. if you hard wire to the same doorbell button the power never goes dead.

• Batteries last up to a couple weeks. You can replace them using any brand AA size batteries
