Do you have to have a case on doorbell camera? null

The box comes with a backplate and the camera. You screw in the backplate and snap on the camera easy peasy. if you take the camera apart you risk not only damaging it, but opening it up to environmental damage as well as voiding the warranty.

It has its own case. Back panel mounts to frame around door, and doorbell camera snaps into frame.

No, if I put a case on it, the camera wouldn't work.
