No, the motion light will not be an issue with the camera I have 3 cameras covering the exterior of my home and have motion lights about 3-7 feet from the cameras. Recording are clear and the motion lights do not blind the cameras.

Only testing the plan will tell. Glare from the light is minimized by placing the camera a few feet away.

You are able to turn on/off or set the IR Illuminator into Auto or even adjust the intensity of the IR Illuminator within the camera settings in the APP.
