Does this have to be plugged in all the time null

They arent plugged in but you have to keep them in range of the base station it comes with which has to stay plugged in. The cameras constantly throw errors, due to this. I wouldnt waste your money. I returned them, they were awful.

The Blink XT2 cameras themselves are battery operated however the sync module needed to operate the XT2 cameras would need to be plugged into a normal wall outlet at all times and within 100ft of the cameras in any direction.
