“I live in a condo on the second floor and want to mount one camera inside to point out on sliding door and a second on a 3rd story window by the front door. Is this possible or will I have to mount it outside? I'm afraid someone might remove it.”

If it's a busy motion area your battery may not last more than a couple of weeks. If you try to point the camera looking out of a window and it's close to the window you will get a reflection from the infrared beam wich would distort your video. So it would work during the day but at night you would not have a good picture because of the reflection.

Some users have placed cameras facing out a window or through a glass door to use Blink's Live View option. A Blink XT2 camera looking through glass will react to the near side of a pane of glass, so it will not be activated by motion beyond that to create clips when in the Armed state.
