The Blink cameras themselves are battery operated however the sync module needed to operate the cameras would need to be plugged into a normal wall outlet at all times and within 100ft of the cameras. The sync module comes with a USB and correct power adapter. They are 110/220V compatible. It is also possible to plug the Sync Module into a USB but could be unreliable. Make sure your USB is at least 5W/1AMP or it will not power. Do note: The USB port on the back of the camera can be used with a MicroUSB cable and power adapter (not included with your camera) to power your cameras rather than using batteries. However, the Blink XT2 feature a rubberized cover over the USB port. Removing this cover makes the camera no longer weatherproof.
