You need to purchase the system that includes a sync module. Once you have that you can add on up to 10 cameras per module.

When you are looking to purchase a system, make sure the one you purchase one with the 'sync module'. The systems are available with multiple number of cameras. Example: You purchased a system with 2 of the XT2 indoor/outdoor cameras with the 'sync module' and now want to add another camera to this system. Once you have a system with the 'sync module', you can add up to 10 cameras for each 'sync module'. The 'add on' camera you are asking about is for adding to an existing system. This camera will not operate without the 'sync module'.
