Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It connects thru WiFi and you can view on most devices. They come with lithium AA batteries which they claim you won’t have to change for 2 years. Obviously that depends on how your settings are with video use and live views. It’s worked out great for me!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Blink Sync module would need to be plugged into a normal wall outlet at all times. It comes with a USB and correct power adapter. Blink does currently require a 2.4ghz WiFi-based Internet connection to operate

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Does this require a power source? No. 2AA batteries is all it takes. And can it connect to wifi? The camera wireless connects to a very small "base station" inside your home which is connected to your router via an Ethernet cable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does NOT require an external power source. I will run for months on 2 AA internal Lithium batteries which you can replace yourself. The actual battery life depends on how often the camera operates and length of clip, settings of the infra red LED and the picture quality. I typically have to replace batteries about every 4 to 5 months. There is a connector for using an external 5V power source but I do not use that. It connects to wifi but you need to buy the BLINK kit that includes cameras and the wifi adapter first. then you can add on more cameras (up to 10) later.
