- Answer It is an unlocked phone. I have read through some of the reviews, and (some good, some bad.. some of the bad ones are sill, however). I have a lesser version of the BLU.. (bothers me that I didn't buy one, a few weeks ago..but had a budget, when I held one).. my lesser version( MUCH LESSER) works in the US, Canada, and Mexico... To answer your question: No: I it a 3G. It does, however, according to my experience, and what some people have said in the reviews, it does work in many countries. Also, 3g is upward compatible. MOST countries that I have visited, that have now upgraded to 4G (LTE, or not) have not "banned" 3G phones (many, most, even 2G) from their networks. That being said: this phone, with its RAM, and Memory, make up for some of the "shortfall".

- Answer No. They are separate phone operating systems. Kind of like Microsoft having a Microsoft(PC) or Apple(Mac) Computer. However, MANY Microsoft Apps(programs) will work on this Android phone (I use Excel on mine). That being said, when you set it up, it will have an Android/Google system. However, from there, what matters is your carrier. For instance, if your present, phone allowed you to connect to your network (ATT, T-Mobile, etc), then you should not have a problem (except for getting used to a.. not much different/learning code with setting up your settings). - Answer Yes, I have TMobile and it took one 10 min phone call to get the phone working on my plan. It worked imediately for texting and internet. But phone calls took a little setup with T-Mobile. But I also used a Sim that was previously in a tablet.
