• No you do not, it is a plugin play type thing.

• Just plug it in to your PC and change the default recording device to "blue yeti" and your all ready to go for the most part. Settings such as gain and pattern type are on the microphone itself.

• No software needed, WIndows/MacOS will recognize it and you can choose to set it as your default mic (if you have another already). Very easy.
