Not sure what you mean by "Continual Care." Tivo comes with a 1 year manufacturers warranty. If the unit fails within that time, Tivo will send you a replacement after you send yours to them. You will be without a unit for a week or more. I strongly recommend buying the Best Buy Extended Warranty for the TIVO. Since they switched to HDMI outputs, there has been durability issues. I had a Roamio and then a Bolt both have the HDMI output suddenly stop working. On the Bolt it was within a year. HDMI is great but on the Bolt, it seems to be fragile. Since I had purchased the Best Buy Extended Warranty, I was able to walk into a local Best Buy and get new one immediately. Very convenient. Downside was that all recordings and One Pass setting were lost and had to be re-entered. Fortunately, the Bolt can be accessed via a home network so I was able to print out a list of One Pass settings before I took the unit in for exchange. Get the Extended Warranty.
