• If the phone is prepay ,you will choose a plan you want without a contract .In most cases you can top up right from your phone,or use a top up card,or call and do it with a csr.Hope this helps.

• I don't have this phone but I have had phones with both company's before. Boost is similar to Virgin so you add money the same way . But they are different company's so you cant use Virgin to add money only Boost.
