• I had it delivered, so I never saw if there was an outer enclosure. The enclosure I saw was very slightly larger than the washer (maybe an inch in each dimension). One delivery person carried it by himself into my house.

• Ours arrived with shrink wrap and Styrofoam corner guards on thin pallet like bottom. Seemed to be all disposable. Installer took when they left.
