No, this model does not have a food disposal feature. It has a filter that you will need to empty occasionally. Quieter dishwashers have moved away from food disposals as they were noisy.

We have a filtration system that may require cleaning every few months. This dishwasher comes with a drain hose and ready to hardwire. Please contact your nearest Best Buy for information on additional parts for installation such as the water inlet hose.
