A:AnswerYes, it beeps and, yes, you can adjust the beep or turn it off. Check the card that comes with the dishwasher--it tells you how to do this. (Trust me--you won't figure out how to do it on your own!)
A:AnswerThe part you need is Model: 5304504505 SKU: 5146600. This is a generic install kit the will work for most dishwashers. It is the one I used for the same model you are asking about. You can order it online or pick it up in store.
A:AnswerYes, you can open it at any time during a wash, but you have to hit the start button again before closing it. One cool thing is it shines a red light on your floor while it's working. If it's paused because you opened it, the red light blinks.
A:AnswerHi lanagia. Thank you for your question. Model SHS5AV55UC has a Speed 60 Cycle, a 9 hour Delay Start and a Rinse Cycle. the Rinse Cycle is used when you won't be starting the dishwasher for a day or two. Our dishwashers have many sensors which know if the load needs additional rinsing.
A:AnswerThere are no heating elements built in the bottom of many modern dishwashers like in the old days. Today's dishwashers superheat the wash water so that the remaining heat after the wash actually causes the dishes to dry. It isn't perfect, so I usually crack the door open a bit after the wash is done and allow some extra evaporation and cooling for a while before unloading. Just open the door and pull out the top rack a couple inches to prop the door open. I suppose this method of not using a heating element to dry things contributes to a lower electric bill. Any dishwasher manufacturer recommends unloading the lower rack first- this is to avoid spilling any moisture in upper rack items on the dry items in the lower rack (from overturned cups, etc.) .
