The top shelf silverware tray only makes sense if your DW is located NEAR your silverware storage. Our is not. So I ma very glad I saved out silverware basket from our old bosch. I've put it back in and it works great.

I don't know. If one uses the top rack for larger spoons and cooking utensils, the silverware caddy doesn't feel quite as small. I agree, however, that the caddy is small.
