What is the advantage of having 3 racks? null

The 3rd rack allows you to put your silverware up there evenly spaced and gets everything cleaned. Moving the silverware up there allows you to fill the bottom rack with more dishware.

There are one major advantage in my opinion: you get the extra space back. By using the 3rd rack, you can put all your silverware on the 3rd rack, and that clears up space in the main area to put additional dishes. Not only can you put silverware, but you could put anything that is flat. We've put small tupperware lids, and as long as it slides in, it works. It's really convenient.

The top rack is great for ramekins, spatulas, measuring spoons, or any low profile kitchen utensils.

The 3rd level is great for knives so you won’t have to load them in with the cutlery and maybe cut yourself in the process.
