“I'm looking for a dishwasher that does well with non-toxic detergents and rinse aids. I can't use products with artificial colors, for example. Will this dishwasher work well with Seventh Generation brand products, e.g.? Thanks!”

This is not your dishwasher then. This never cleaned well even with chemical detergents.

Per the Use and Care Manual for this Dishwasher: Use only detergent specifically designed for dishwashers. For best results, use fresh powdered dishwashing detergent or detergent tabs. Dosage: see manufacturer’s instructions on the packaging. We always encourage Rinse Aid to achieve proper drying, even if your detergent contains a rinse aid or drying additive.
