This is not your dishwasher then. This never cleaned well even with chemical detergents.

Hi AmyO, thank you for your question and interest in Model:SHEM63W55N. Per the Use and Care Manual for this Dishwasher: Use only detergent specifically designed for dishwashers. For best
results, use fresh powdered dishwashing detergent or detergent tabs. Dosage: see manufacturer’s
instructions on the packaging. We always encourage Rinse Aid to achieve proper drying, even if your detergent contains a rinse aid or drying additive.
