• You can only see display with Door Open. I open it to see, then push start again and it continues.

• Hi Jeffd. Thank you for your question. The SHSM63W56N 300 Series Dishwasher in Black has an InfoLight that shines on the floor as soon the cycle begins when the door is closed and does not go off until after the drying cycle is complete. However, there is no time indicator in this light.
