• I would say this is much better value than the 800 series. It's very quiet and water/energy consumption is low..

• Personally, after the disappointment with my Bosch I wouldn't buy another one!

Here are the differences between the 500 Series and the 800 Series: The 800 Series is quieter at 42 dBA, has touch controls, has 6 cycles and 5 options and has a heavier handle on the lower rack. The 500 Series is 44 dBA, has push button controls and has 5 cycles and 5 options.
