No, the display is hidden. There is, however, a small light that shines on the floor to let you know when it’s running. I haven’t found myself wishing that there was a front display, it’s a FANTASTIC dishwasher

I haven't screwed it to the counter yet and waiting to see whether my daughter wants the door even with the cabinet doors or whether I can extend it out an inch or so to see the display. So it depends upon what you want and your kitchen.
