“Does this model need a flush mount deflector vent?. Will venting be a problem on lower corner and cause moisture damage on cabinet below?”

• Hi there, thank you for your question. Per the Use and Care Manual for Model:HMD8451UC: During microwaving, steam may come from the right side of the vent. • Mine is not mounted flush. There is a small vent at the bottom of the drawer. I have not had any problems with the venting.
