“Does this work with the same mounting bracket and top vent position as the Bosch HMV5053U? My HMV5053U just died and they are not available for order. I'd like to make reinstallation as easy as possible and use the existing mount and vent.”

I am going to say no because we had the HMV9305/01 Bosch 1.8 cu ft microwave and this Bosch 800 Series is the replacement for that old Bosch series. The back bracket is different size wise, the same basic design but just enough different our old HMV9305/01 wall bracket did not work and we had to install the new wall bracket in place of the old one. Also the top mounting holes for the three top mounting screws are not in the same exact locations so you will have to drill three new holes.
