It's a drain error. Most of the time it's not too hard to self-repair so I would suggest trying that before paying a repair person, also yours should be under warranty. That has been an all-too-common problem on our current Bosch model which is now 7+ years old. We owned two before this and never experienced the error message once. It's probably one of two things. The easiest thing to repair is clearing the impeller. Just Google Bosch dishwasher error 24 and you'll get lots of youtube videos showing how it's done. Basically, a small piece of glass or other hard object probably got stuck in the small impeller (kind of like a propeller) that pumps the water from the dishwasher to the drain. The only tools you are likely to need for this are a sponge or a baster and sponge to remove the water, needle nose pliers to remove the plastic impeller cover, and possibly a tweezer depending upon the size of the object that clogging up the works. The other possibility is more complicated and involves pulling out the dishwasher and detaching the drain hose. There are videos for this too but it probably requires a talented DIYer to pull this off. Our dishwasher is currently on the blink (Error E24!) and we've tried clearing the impeller which we've successfully done three times before, but to no avail this time around. That's how I came across you question. Good luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
