Yes. There is a strainer and fine filter at the bottom that can be easily removed and rinsed. Our Geek Squad installer demonstrated this, takes less than a minute to remove and replace. Should be done about once a month, depending on dishwasher use.

The filter is located more towards the front of the machine so it is relatively easy to access. I have not yet had to clean mine out, only had it installed for around a month, but I did remove the filter after I first installed it so I knew how to do it in the future and wasn't fighting with a dirty filter. That being said, it is relatively easy to remove.
