QuestionBosch 800 series dishwasher was installed today. The 3rd rack only comes out halfway. I can’t see any release lever. What should I do?

- Answer Check to make sure the rack is lined up correctly on the rollers. Installer should have made sure this was working correctly.

QuestionAll my previous dishwashers had a place to put salt. We just bout an 800 series and can’t find a spade to put salt. Am I missing something? We don’t have a water softener so I’m worried about it.

QuestionCan I use a flat plain modern panel? Do I drill my own holes for handle? Pictured is a small handle. Can I use a wider handle instead?

- Answer A panel ready dishwasher allows you to make the exterior of the dishwasher to your taste.I suggest that you have the panel made to match the kitchen cabinetry, including the handle, so that it will blend in. Any competent cabinetmaker can do the job for you. If you make it yourself, be a perfectionist. The panel can be moved to a new dishwasher when you replace the current one.

- Answer Hi Ferd, thank you for your question and interest in Model:SHPM78Z55N. This Dishwasher is not panel ready as it comes with a stainless steel door. Bosch does make a custom panel dishwasher Model: SHVM78Z53N.

- Answer Hi Newto800, thank you for your question and interest in Model:SHPM78Z55N. The 800 Series Dishwasher does not have the AutoAir feature and with the Crystal Dry Option dries 60% better than our PureDry Dishwashers. It should be completely dry after the cycle is complete.

- Answer I don't think so. Water feels pretty cool to touch in bottom of dishwasher, but 30 minutes into the 2.5 hour wash cycle it has heated up.

- Answer Yes, the interior is all stainless. This is a great dish washer. We just moved and one of the first things we did was replace the dishwasher with this 800 series Bosch. That is what we had in our old home and we were extremely happy with it

- Answer Hi Jody, thank you for your question and interest in Model:SHPM78Z55N. A tall tub in our 24-inch dishwasher can fit 16 place settings in one load. Our tall tub dishwasher fits in the same space as a standard tub model even though its interior is larger top to bottom. The extra room allows it to hold dishes and pots in a wider range of sizes and shapes.

- Answer Hi li, thank you for your question and interest in Model:SHPM88Z75N. Yes, the Dishwasher is to be connected to the hot water line. Per the Installation Guide: Scalding Hazard! Do not perform any work on a pressured hot water line. Serious injury could result. Only qualified plumbers should perform plumbing work. Do not attempt any work on the dishwasher hot water supply plumbing until you are certain the hot water supply is shut off. The hot water heater should be set to deliver approximately 120° F (49° C) water to the dishwasher. Water that is too hot can cause some detergents to lose effectiveness. Lower water temperatures will increase run times. The hot water supply pressure must be between 15 - 145 psi (1 - 10 bar).
