The delivery men charged me an extra charge of $80 for the electrical box and power cord installation. This was a charge on top of the installation charge by the retail store.

I don't have a power outlet behind my current dishwasher since it is hard-wired, so I would need to coordinate getting an electrician in on the same day as delivery/installation if I wanted to have a power outlet ready.

The special cord has a standard 3-prong plug, so you don't need to do any wiring. Ours came with an additional special cord wired to a junction box, courtesy of Best Buy.
