Be very careful any decision to buy a combination wall unit! We've learned the hard way. Our 11 year old Thermador (owned by Bosch) Combo Microwave/Wall oven has the second failure now, the magnetron/transformer, repair estimate is $1000. The model is no longer made, nor is that models replacement! We've forced to buy a whole new combo unit, else rework our cabinetry. The oven is fine, but at 11 years, who would do $1000 repair on a modern appliance? Appliances are now designed to last 10-12 years at best, as opposed to 15-20 years in the past. As an electrical engineer, circuit boards can barely survive any dirty power and are most likely items to fail. Complex electronics, software, and cheap to build assembly's cater to Wall Street. Now, if you buy Bosch/Thermador, notice the dual control panels, thus 49" height. Most/all other vendors use a single panel, so you have to account for 4-5" less space to fill, either with blank panels, or having expensive cabinet and over support systems installed. Choose wisely! Everything made today costs more and lasts less...just a fact.

As a set, this combination includes two built-in oven components: a conventional wall oven (lower oven) and either a microwave or speed oven (upper oven). If the upper component breaks and needs to be replaced, you should only have to replace the upper component.
