Love the Bosch appliances, we have been using them now about 6 months. The cost of the hood was $850.00. The design is pretty minimalist, with two rocker switches Light (on and off) and Fan (high and low). We never use the fan on high. The width is 29 15/16 so it will snugly fit in a 30" wide opening
