Hi Violet, thank you for your question. Model:HGI8056UC fits in a standard 30 inch cutout. It has a width of 30 inches across the body of the range and is 31 1/2 inches in width at the top of the range. The reason for this is the slide-in design, which covers your countertops on the sides of the cooktop so that there is no spillage down the sides. This also gives the range a built-in look.
