Thanks for your question. The 151SE speakers are passive and will require a receiver to power them. They cannot be connected directly to your TV. The audio output of your TV would connect to an available input on the receiver which will pass audio to the speakers. The 151SE speakers are compatible with a receiver with an output between 10-100 Watts Per Channel, 4-8 Ohms.
