• Hi Deb. I'm not sure who was so abrupt. The Bose require an amplifier to drive them. If your TV has loudspeaker outputs then the Bose might sound really good. If the TV only has Line Out (red and white RCA connectors) will will have to purchase an amplifier to power the Bose from the TV's Line Out. Make Sense?

• This speaker system requires a non-Bose receiver to provide power to the speakers. The specs for compatibility are as follows: 10-100 W per channel, 4-8 ohms.
